The launch of Red Lipstick was in the subject’s own hometown, on September 3 2016. Pritish Nandy spoke about the need for tolerance as the book was unwrapped at Title Wave bookstore in Bandra, which hosted the evening. Parmesh Shahani in conversation with Laxmi and Pooja, upped the event’s crazy-cool factor.
The Delhi event of Red Lipstick played out at popular hot spot Ek Bar, on November 7. Resonating the kind of buzz the city is prone to, Laxmi & Pooja were in conversation with Manjula Narayan, Books Editor, Hindustan Times. There was talk of writing process, the wandering ‘hijr’ soul, Mira’s devotion, even as the audience left with sound advice from Laxmi, “Stop judging!”.
